Norra Belle Cardillo

Norra Belle Cardillo spent the first two decades of her life as a competitive swimmer. Despite being disabled at a young age due to autoimmune and cardiac issues, she continued to chase her dreams. Her countless hours in the pool taught her dedication, teamwork and resilience. Cardillo eventually earned NAIA National Champion titles and All-American designation- despite her limitations. She was recruited by Savannah College of Art and Design as a varsity athlete and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Communication.

Experienced in non-profit media development, Cardillo, also has a passion for historic preservation. She is currently a scholar and graduate assistant in the MA History program at Idaho State University and is expected to graduate in 2025.  Upon graduation Cardillo plans to enter the field of Public History by combining her training in public relations with her education as a visual artist and historian.
